Default rec.scuba - There might be some lack of oxygen going on with those tanks, beware!

It has come to my attention that some people's tanks here are
depriving them of some much needed oxygen when they're scuba diving,
leading to a decline in intelligence. They may be hostile towards
other posters and such stuff, so beware and please be careful.

No, we're hostile towards kwow-it-all idiots like yourself... You come
in here (without getting a feel for the group first), ask a question,
and then bitch and complain when the answer is not the answer that you
wanted... Sorry kid, but we tried to help... You wouldn't listen...

Ah so it's because I'm new here, I need to get a feel for it huh. It's
stupid how people like you behave in some newsgroups, like they own it
and new people can't say anything. Yeah I'll complain when people are
telling me you must have an instructor which is pure bullshit and then
don't understand anything else like when the person says they're not
interested and rather learn themselves. Or that someone's being rude.
You regulars can be such assholes protecting each others assholes. And
yeah if you're gonna bitch slap me it better be from your computer,
that's the only place you got the guts to do it. And then you plonk me
like a coward. I hope a swordfish nails it right up your pooper.

One might suspect that this kid's attitude makes it such that
instructors tell him that he needs to start off with 100 lbs of lead
weight (so as to assure the proper buoyancy) and jump off from a boat
in the middle of a large lake...

No, it sounds blunt, but blunt and rude aren't the same thing.

Rude would be calling you a ignorant twat.

I'm an instructor, but that's not my profession. The best advice that most
people on here could give you is to find an instructor. Beyond that, the
general feeling is *probably* that any other option is not acceptable from a
safety standpoint. If you've come to a different conclusion, good for you.
There's zero reason to blast those who feel that your life may be worth more
than you've calculated.

Someone from New York is going to teach us manners? This is going to be
good. Do we get lessons on how to watch a group for a while before posting
to see who the characters are and how the group interacts? Ooh, do we learn
how to counter rudeness with more rudeness. I've heard that works really
well, but I've never actually figured out how it works.

You asked the following question and Lee gave you a straight up answer.
Please explain-
(1) Where did Lee say anything about you MUST have an instructor?
(2) What was it about Lee's reply that was rude?
(3) Why we should believe YOU are not the asshole based on the above
paragraph.
(4) Why you should have ANY credibility making such a juvenile, immature
statements such as "swordfish up the pooper".

Are you any older than 8 years of age (intellectually or chronologically)?

For you convenience here is the original text you posted and Lee's response-

Sure. The best site to learn how to float and swim is with an
instructor at
your local municipal or YMCA pool.

Ok I'll tell you why. On the days these instructors are teaching I'm
too busy ripping the shit out of Grumman's mom's pussy.

Right, you see how I took my insult back up there in the other thread?
Seriously I'm never rude till someone is first, hence the problems
here, since there are so many rude people here.
