My information is that he policeman has had both eyes removed, and his
nose is gone. He has massive facial injuries due to receiving the full
brunt of a shotgun blast. He is still in very critical condition but is
at the current time - stable.

I completely agree.

At this point, from a silver lining perspective, the state doesn't have to waste any more time on
him and nobody has to worry about him re-offending, ever. I wish it could have been different, but
it is how it is.
