| The Cap’n Tony/Becks wreck has always been a fun and easy penetration wreck and the engine room was a good place to practice getting unsnagged. A few weeks ago, I did my 60th dive on the wreck, entered the engine room, and scared the bejeezus out of myself – large sections of the overhead are held up by nothing but a few rusty threads, and could come down with no more disturbance than a diver’s bubbles. Stay out of the engine room! Do not let divers enter the engine room! The two entrances from the hold need to be blocked or signed. (I don’t think entrance from above can be made any more, but I didn’t try.) Safe Diving ESG |
