Lets hope he runs.

Chances are, he'll get my vote if he does.

Something to think about, from a wise man now long dead….:

“In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes
here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he
shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an
outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or
birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person’s becoming
in every facet an American, and nothing but an American.
“There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an
American, but something else also, isn’t an American at all.
“We have room for but one flag, the American flag. We have room for but
one language here, and that is the English language and we have room for
but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.”
--Theodore Roosevelt...1907

I did a quick search to see if www.reagan2008.com is available... Turns
out someone is cybersquatting on it... Bummer...

Turns out one of our Texas representatives has thrown his hat in the
ring -- Ron Paul...

http://www.ronpaul2008.com/html/AboutRon_fs.html

<snip>
.... consistently voted to lower or abolish federal taxes, spending and
regulation, and used his House seat to actively promote the return of
government to its proper constitutional levels ...

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.
</snip>

Not too bad other than that last point, but it seems that his belief is
that a war cannot be fought unless it is voted upon by the Congress...

http://www.ronpaulexplore.com/html/issue-War.html

Personally, I suspect that if you wait on Congress to do something, by
the time it happens, it will either be too late or totally screwed up...

Thompson is the only one I would want to vote for. The others, well, it's
pretty much I would have to vote for them.

I would want to vote for Jeb Bush, too, but he says he not running and he
probably won't. I just think it may be perceived as too much

Bush Clinton Bush Bush

Of course things may bo

Bush Clinton Bush Clinton

That's too much, too.

How about Ron Paul?

http://www.ronpaulexplore.com/

I here he's somewhat of a strict constitutionalist.

Well, we've killed a bunch of camel fuckers, but not exactly in the most
fiscally efficient manner though... I have to wonder what the cost per
camel fucker killed has ended up though... Nukes would have been *so*
much more fiscally efficient...

The No Bush Left Behind Act of 2008?

The Bushes resemble Behinds more than they do Lefts.

My dislike of the Bush family is pretty well documented. You may be sure
that I voted against Jeb when he ran for Governor of Florida. I'm not
afraid to admit that he did a pretty good job while in office. He surprised
me, turning out to be a lot better than I ever thought he would be.

I'm not sure I'm ready to vote for Jeb as President, but there's no doubt in
my mind at all that I'd vote for him before I'd support any other of the
Bush family. While that's not much of a concession, it comes into focus
when you consider that I would not even consider another Clinton, let alone
vote for one, for any position of any authority, anywhere, anytime.
