| Hey all, I am flying in to Sharm El Sheikh in June, I am only going to be around for 4 days but have been told that Dahab is a nicer place but not necessarily nicer diving. Anyone here been to either or both? Suggestions? Dive companies to go with? Thanks d |

Definately enough to fill 4 days (if not 4 weeks) of diving. Look up Colona Divers, they've been very helpful when we were there in January (www.colona.com). If you venture to Ras Mohammed, Ras Ghazlani, Jackfish Alley were very nice. For a bit of an adventure, sign up for the trip to Thistlegorm (well worth the few extra euros). Be ready for some HOT weather in Sharm in June. /marcin |

Dahab is much much quieter than Sharm, there are some good dives there but it is all shore diving, i enjoyed a week there some 12 months back, diving with Sinai divers at the Hilton Hotel. very enjoyable.. Dave Morgan @ Work in the UK Take out the "goes diving" bit.... Trip photos on line at www.morg.co.uk |

The diving is nearly all shore stuff so if you want boats then stay in Sharm. I'd say that Dahab is the nicer place but I'm not sure if there is much in the way of gas mixing so you'll be on air if you stay there. Diver Down Under at the Seven Heaven Hotel on the waterfront is one of the best outfits in Dahab- very professional and friendly. I'm taking my dive club out there again this year. Peter |
