| they will accept as much money as you have. Getting it changed back from Egies to quids is very difficult. But there were a large amount of Ruskies with Euros flooding the place. Euros are harder to counterfeit than US$ and GBP£. The russian Mafia are world renown for there counterfeit currency. The near perfect £20s over here in circulation are all russian. Word of advise - if you do accept payment from a Russian don't refuse it because it's fake - as refusal often offends. Instead accept it politely and then spend it at your local supermarket as the checkout girls can rarely notice the counterfiet currency. Alex |

Think you must have misunderstood a little about these regulations that was referred to: Norways foremost dive travel agency, - "Natureventyr" in Oslo =(Eng: Nature Adventures) tells me that the only limitation for currency into Egype are EGYPTIAN £'s! Same thing says my bank's cambio dept. The authorities want you to bring into their country as much foreign currency as possible. It's not allowed to bring out Egyptian £ either. Another thing is that you will maybe not get the best exchange rates from GB£. US$ and Euro gives better rates in many stores/hotels in Egypt nowadays. Personally I normally use VISA/AMEX or Eurocard and only bring some small Euro-or US$-bills for tips and small purchases the first days at the spot. 24 h ATM's are installed in both Sharm el-Sheik & Hurgada. 30 people from my club leaves for Sharm in November.
