Sharm. Any dive operator will ahve boats going out regularly. There are
stand-alone operators of you prefer, on faster boats (2.5hrs instead of
3.5 - 4 hrs) bookable locally at the Travco jetty. Sea temps mid 20sēC
typically.

Be aware that if you don't use a fast boat, you'll have to get up
at stupid AM (3-4AM!) then get bussed to Travco (which isn't far)

It is a long old day going to the Thistlegorm from Sharm.

If you want to dive Red Sea wrecks, you'd really be better off on
a livaboard.

I've done it from Hurghada in a speedboat - once - never again!

I've been out there November/December time and the water has been OK for
me in a 3mm steamer, but a lot of people wil lbe in 5mm shorties.
