I prefer the latter. You dive your own profile, the crew was accommodating, the boat was upscale, and the diving is some of the best around. Buck |

| Do they (Nai'a) have a 10 charter? What time of the year did you go? What year was your trip? Lawrence |

Your best bet is to go to the http://groups.google.com archival search to find what had already been posted about these operations. Go to the "advanced groups search" option, and specify ONLY the keywords "Tahiti Aggressor", and you'll immediately find the first 10 of 264 hits, in LIFO (Last In First Out) order, two trip reports, by me and Greg Mossman in this ng, and one by a well-known no-good-scoundrel using ONE of his sockpuppet posting names (he used three different ones in the same thread). Read those with BIG grains of salt. There aren't many reports about the Tahiti Aggressor because it's relatively new. I was on one of the early charters last December. If you use the "Fiji Aggressor" in the same google search, you'll find many more hits but in FIFO (First in First Out) order beginning with several in 1997, so have have to look for the more up-to-date ones in the later posts. As for my own impression on the Tahiti Aggressor, it's pretty much like the other Aggressors (generally excellent), but with its signature and emphasis on the Tuamoto passes for fast drift diving (up to 12 knots they say, but in practice rarely over 5-6, but still VERY swift). Otherwise, I didn't find it any more exciting than many of the other islands in the French Polynesia which are accessible only via cruise ships and air but VERY EXPENSIVE per dive ($60-$80) for 1 tank. See my rec.travel.cruises report on diving in the French Polynesian islands as well as my (subjective) rating of diving locations, see http://groups.google.com/groups?selm...&output=gplain The Tahiti Aggressor dives in the islands and passes of Rangiroa, Apataki, Taoa, and Fakarava in the Tuamoto island group. See: http://www.aggressor.com/subpage.php?d=13 For the Fiji Aggressor, see: http://www.aggressor.com/subpage.php?d=13 -- Bob. |
