Default Fiji Travel: Beachcomber Island Questions

Hello:

I will be traveling with 4 other friends in February and we will be
staying in Fiji for 4 nights. We are all American guys in our early
30's, experienced travelers and are looking for a great place to stay
that gives us beach, scuba, watersports, and of course, good nightlife.
I've heard a lot about Beachcomber fulfilling these criteria; is the
island geared more towards the 18-23 year old set? Is the crowd mainly
Austrailian students and backpackers? A couple of us are happy with
trying the Beachcomber, but some of the group have some concerns. Is
the food decent? What can we expect from the Beachcomber for 4 nights?

The Beachcomber will satisfy your criteria. It's very international -
there are white people from all over the world, although there are
usually more from Aus than anywhere else.

It isn't geared towards the 18-23 age group specifically - just party
animals of all ages.

I heard that the food is fine - usually buffet style. I don't know for
sure - I lived in Fiji so I didn't stay in the resorts, but that is
what I heard from people who stayed there.

If you want better food try The Warwick or The Outrigger. Not many
people go to Fiji for the food though.

Best wishes

Peter Forster
