I suspect deep ellum would have looked a lot like south central, had that trial been held in Plano. |

As far as that shit happening here, I can't see it. Too many armed people here. Motivation to rape , murder and pillage would be too hard to sustain. The community most likely to start that sort of mayhem KNOWS better. |

Texans know that they can use deadly force to protect their (or someone else's) property... Even if it started, it would soon end after the first couple of bodies started stacking up... We don't call the cops, we call BFI... |

Hmmm, I don't have the same reaction. Fact is that there are a lot of hunters in Canada, and a correspondingly large number of hunting rifles. Go figure. I have no problem with intelligent gun control. Most people I know don't like the idea of kooks acquiring guns, nor people carrying concealed weapons, nor owning semi or fully automatic weapons. OTOH, the gun registry has been a total waste of money and doesn't really protect anyone. Gun control is a national choice. Canadians simply have no right to tell the US anything about guns. It just ain't our business. --- Mike from Ottawa |

The reverse applies as well. US citizens who don't live in Canada have no right to tell Canadians anything about guns. It isn't their business. |

Let's start with John Lott's Op-Ed in the National Post in Canada. I can point to thousands of instances where US citizens complain about Canadian viewpoints on guns in Canada. |
