Hello ,

Where do you plan to go ?

In fact, depending of your destination ( Nice, cannes , St tropez ,
Giens , hyeres , la ciotat marseille , carry ...), there is a lot
of commercial diving structures avalaible.

Hyeres and Giens are both spots for Reef and wrecks. ( But in summer
diving clubs just look like the tube at 8 am ). September is the right
period , warm water , good visilibity.

Marseilles also is disposing of many beautiful sites.

Port gros, is a french national Park, ( Fast boat acces from Hyeres-
around 20' ) is a marvelous spot for fish.

Argeles ...is not in the "cote d'azur" , it is at the opposite side, but
is also a nice place for diving and also cheaper... Just for a correct
understanding between monpellier and arleges the is only...sand and nude
girls ( For adviced diving amateur only )

A correct fork price for a single diving is between 17E up to 25E.

The link of FFESSM , in the part " Clubs FFESSM" , subpart "structures
commerciales" is giving a full list form the area of Marseille:

http://www.ffessm-provence.com/

And this other one, does the same , in the cote d'azur area , part clubs:

http://www.ffessmcotedazur.com/

For avoiding any troubles, do not forget to bring you your diving card (
cmas , bsac , ....), Papers concerning your tank ( The last pressure
test time must be less than 2 years ), and a medical certificate.

Do not hesitate to contact me directly at ( philippe - dreux @ wanadoo
.. fr / remove the blanks ) for any additional questions.

Regards

Default South of France

I'm going to the Cote d'Azur in June. Can anyone recommend where to go
diving? I saw one place at Port Grimaud on the net but I'm sure there's
lots more.

Robin.

Argeles with Gilbert Goddefroy (Moniteur Federal). I dived with him many
years ago around Bayuls-sur-Mer, Cap Bear and Cap Abeille.

Someone I know dived with him last year. So he is still around!

No contact number I am afraid. Antares Sub, Argeles is the name IIRC.

Bof
