Default Warbird diving trip in the South of France

Hiya,

I'm trying to find out if there is any interest in diving the shed load of
aircraft that litter the bottom off the South of France. If you get on to
the forum on www.divetheworld.com/forum and check out the area called
Aircraft Underwater there is some info there. There isn't any prices yet as
we are just trying to find out if there is any interest.

I'm going as I've been there before and it's fantastic so check it out.

Ali

Hi there !

Of course diving the warbirds is of great interest, due to depht, most
of theme are still in a good state . I dived on

Heinkel 111 near menton lying at 60 m just imaculate !

P38 lightning near marseille 42 m have a look there
http://aerodive.perso.cegetel.net/Al...to/P38/P38.htm

Texan 6 in bay of Cannes ! have a look there ( it's me of the pictures)
http://aerodive.perso.cegetel.net/Al...es/Le%20T6.htm

As well lot of

Dornier 24, Wildcat, hellcat and P51 mustang...

If you need diving centres that will take you there, just ask...

I wonder why English and French divers do not share and do not organises
diving expedition in both countries. I would love to dive with british
divers and show them our war wrecks. And then myself going diving in
Great Britain with people who knows everything about it... We have so
much to learn out of each others...It'a pity, we love diving and we do
not share.

Alain

Sorry my english is not as good as yours...
But still it's possible to communicate !

I have been talking to Philippe Castellano who is going to arrange the
France part of the trip (do you know him?) but it looks like nobody is
interested. Maybe everyone is so seriously satisfied with UK diving or the
Red Sea that they don't really want to give this trip a go. I will still be
going but instead of a gang there may be just two or three of us which will
make video a lot easier.

Don't despair Ali.
I'd come but I've used up all my diving "Brownie Points" for this year.

Must pack for the Caribbean .....................

Well it looks like there isn't any interest in the forum or on here so I
think we will just go on our own. I'm sure it will be nicer without a
gaggle of divers. I will pass on your mail addy to my brother and lets
organise it. Hopefully for next spring.
