www.oxycheq.com

An unashamed plug.

El Stroko Guapo can show you how to make your own.

I can sell you a couple homemade ones, or a pristine Seatec Manta.

But my current rig is a DiveRite Transpac with very few modifications.

All the ratings I've seen are by folks who have an advertising interest
in the tests, and I'm not sure you can really get unbiased ratings for
the simple reason that every diver has his own wants and needs.

I suggest you try (borrow, rent) a few of the basic types - soft pack,
back plate and wing, jacket - and see what you like. Before you buy,
make sure the seller lets you try the BC. You can NOT tell anything from
trying it on in the showroom!

I like the TransPac, and back plate/wing is all the current rage, but
you may have a very different opinion. Don't spend a lot of money until
you have tried several.
