I thought that it was scientifically proven, but maybe I'm wrong.

Oh this was imported from Europe and works in several languages, Polish
as well. You can check in your dictionary "ptasi mozdzek". Strangely
this phrase fits to some guys on rec.scuba, who like parrots learned
couple of words and are continuously repeating them.



If Polish people think birds are smarter than they are, maybe

That's the reason we try to keep hawks out of our government.
