Default Data Trak to Smart Trak File Combination

Today I combined a DataTrak ".log" file with a SmartTRAK ".slg" file with no
apparent problems. I backed up both files with their respective programs
then opened the backed up copy of the slg file with SmartTRAK. The
"logbook", "import", commands bring up a dialog box where you select
"SmartTRAK Logbook" in the drop down box along with your file name from the
newly created list. One click to the "open" button is all it takes to start
the process.

The result is all dives are combined in the opened slg file. Dive locations
and other information descriptions are created from DataTrak files and
populate applicable tabs. Since there are many more fields in SmartTRAK
than DataTrak, many of the cells of the imported dives are blank.

The "dives", "statistic" commands work and combine information for all dives
in the new log book. I used "logbook", "save as" to save the newly created
file with a unique name and current date.

It took longer to write this post than to do the log book consolidation.
