Default Drysuit dump valves

Are the dump valves on drysuits generic? Mine has a SI Tech which is cracked
(this could explain why I was getting wet) and will need to be replaced. I
am attempting to glue it for now. If I cannot get an exact replacement, will
others fit?

Nearest dive shop is 3 hours south....

The hole size is generally the same for most auto dumps.

SiTech & Apeks are the same.

You could fit one of the new low-profile Apeks dumps or get hold of the old
style dump, which I think works better.

The glue did not do the job, its worse than ever. Its being replaced. Found
a slightly used exact replacement. Damn.

Yes, I got VERY VERY wet. And cold.

Sounds like an unfortunate story. Hopefully things can get worked out.

In spite of our philosophical differences and everything, I choose to
believe that you would not knowingly sell me a suit with a defective valve.

I have found a replacement valve. Should be here in a day or 3. I took the
valve apart and found it to have been incorrectly assembled. As a result,
part of it was overstressed and cracked. I have reassembled it, it now
actually works, but I know that the glue job will not withstand the rigors
of diving.

Now go back to being an ass. You are much more entertaining as such.
