| Luxfer's trade in offer states they will send a voucher for $50.00 off a new Luxfer tank. One lds in the Dallas area is taking the luxfer tanks in trade for $30.00 credit, replacing them with Catalina tanks w/Genesis valves for $95.00 difference. Is this a comparable product? Assuming it would cost $15.00 freight to ship the tanks to Luxfer for $5.00 more you can walk in and walk out with a new tank and not have to hassle with shipping and waiting for a voucher. Seems like a good deal assuming the Catalina tanks won't explode like a Luxfer!! I have dos amigos in that area and last I heard, they collectively had six old Luxfer tanks needing to do something other than collect dust. -- jer email reply - I am not a 'ten' ICQ = 35253273 "All that we do is touched with ocean, yet we remain on the shore of what we know." -- Richard Wilbur |

Unless you know of a significant difference in production methods (which I doubt), all current tanks are equally unlikely to explode. No reason to favor either Luxfer or Catalina on this basis. -- Charlie Hammond -- Hewlett-Packard Company -- Ft Lauderdale FL USA (hammond@not@peek.ssr.hp.com -- remove "@not" when replying) All opinions expressed are my own and not necessarily my employer's. |

Thanks Michael, I'll try to steer a few folks to their door. -- jer email reply - I am not a 'ten' ICQ = 35253273 "All that we do is touched with ocean, yet we remain on the shore of what we know." -- Richard Wilbur |
