| I have been diving this computer for the past week...I am very happy with it. It has numbers large enough to read. It has the capability of switching gas underwater - (2 gases). It has a very nice logbook mode too. It reads current ppO2, max depth & temperature -- and has a graphic representation of N2 & O2 loading. Has various alarms and a GREAT dive planning mode. It is the most user friendly dive plan mode of any computer I have used thus far. The computer doubles as a wrist-watch also & is nice looking. The computer is shown on the Dive-Rite web site at: http://www.diverite.com/products/nitek/nitek_plus.htm -- Jim Wyatt PADI Master Instructor #4612/IANTD Instructor Florida Keys Reef-Divers, Inc. www.reef-divers.com |

Does this new Nitek+ do the same thing, or does it retain it's O2% setting until changed by the user? Thanks, Alan |

It will default back at midnight to 100% O2 for calculating O2 exposure & to 21% for calculating N2 exposure as other computers I have used do. I wish they'd just leave it alone like my Uwatech does...when I set the Uwatech to 32% it never changes, until I change it. When it defaults at midnight there is an icon on the display that flashes to warn you that it has gone into default mode. So it would be tough to dive it with incorrect settings unless you are just not paying attention. -- Jim Wyatt PADI Master Instructor #4612/IANTD Instructor Florida Keys Reef-Divers, Inc. www.reef-divers.com |
