And how does a pub, in the business of selling a fattening, intoxicating,
harmful substance, at all comport with the mindset and the philosophy of

How else can I get them to accept DIR unless they are drunk?

It's actually quite interesting about the nonsmoking section of the
pub...they is not one, or if they have a few tables, they are in the
corner next to all the heavy smokers. Welcome to Japan.

P.S. Most of the Japanese dive instructors I know are smokers...

I remember asking for the non-smoking section in Lexington, KY about 10
years ago. I was very politely shown to the single table they had set
aside for such rare requests.
