Sea Elite EQ OK?

As a newbie looking for a first set of gear, I was wondering what the general
thought on Sea Elite EQ from Divers Supply was. I have not seen any of their
gear tested by Scuba Lab and that gives me reservations. Thanks. Mike

SeaElite is a private label brand name used primarily for
mail order. Unfortunately, the quality is inconsistent at
best since they often go to the lowest bidder for their
stuff. At times you will get top quality stuff and at
others, you can buy the exact same stock number and get
trash. It is best to stand in the shop and inspect the
quality for yourself before making a decision. Oh, and
don't expect any of the other shops to give service without
grousing a bit.
