Default citizen hyper aqualand dive watch wont stop dive after surface

Hello,

I have a citizen hyper aqualand. It always worked fine.

It automatically stops the dive bottom time counting adn starts
counting surface internval as come to surface and then after some
minutes it will consider a new dive.

Well, now I notice that when i come to surface for some reason it
stays thinkign it is at depth 5 or 7 feet and maybe this makes it
think I am still diving and so no surface intervak is counted and when
i do my secodn dive it considers it as stil the first dive.

How can I solve this problem ? Why is it occuring ?

Thanks,

Mario

If you are diving in the sea, do you rinse the watch well afterwards
with fresh water? I have know salt crystals to form, clogging the
sensor. If this is the case, rinsing well in plenty of warm (not hot)
water - especially the sensor - may help.

i do rinse it well, and after some time it dries it does go to zero
depth, but why it takes so much time while wet or humid ?

This often happens when people fly. Particulary large men (or at
least men with large arms). If you accidentally get the water sensor
(small gold disc in the center of the right side of the watch) wet
while flying (which is easy for large-armed people because the sensor
tends to touch the back of your hand when you flex your wrist), the
watch takes a pressure reading. It uses this reading to determine
when you are diving. When you land, the reading is low enough that it
thinks you are diving. It will remain in dive mode until rest
(described later) or until you fly again.

You can reset the watch by holding all 4 buttons down for several
seconds. NOTE: doing this completely erases all dive log data and
you'll have to reset the time and date (so download any dives you want
to keep).

Happy Diving

I'm not sure that it needed to get wet to do this, and i understand
that you are talking about possibly just sweating enough to do it. I
had a watch that did this, but only when I flew from one time zone to
another, and changed the time while at altitude. The red light that
flashes while you are diving also flashes while the time is being
changed. I got a new watch under a service policy, and the new one
has never done that. Same flying patterns as before. I understand
that there was a bug in the firmware in the watch that they corrected.
My theory is that when I set the time at altitude, the watch also set
the 8,000' pressurization of cabin pressure as sea level, which is
what happens when the little red light flashes at the start of a
dive.. The difference in 8,000' and ground level in Memphis probably
translates to a 6' dive.

I bought a service policy from Service Merchandize when I bought the
watch when they told me that I could get the policy for $15 and even
if the band broke, they would replace it. Turned out that they meant
that they meant that they would replace the watch. The band cracked;
I called them; they told me where to send the watch and they sent me a
new one that didn't tell me that I was at 6' when I landed in Memphis.
Their humidity is bad, but not that bad.

My watch had the same problem with diving and flying. I sent it to
Citizen where they put a new movement in it. It now works fine.
Apparently, there was a bug in the early watches.
