Help needed - Calling all divers

Calling all divers,

We need your help and the benefit of your experience. We are trying to compile
a list of top tips for a "tip of the day" database in www.ukdivers.net website,

Will you send in your best tips? Anything at all to do with diving, seamanship,
boats, dive tables, kit, kitting up, kit repair, underwater navigation, night
diving, drift diving, techical diving, diving skills, training, safety,
underwater photography etc etc. They need to be faily short and punchy, any
"must do's' etc, for example., "always turn your air on before you put on your
stab jacket", so that should you fall overboard in a swell or rough water, you
can at least breath, or another "always memorise the depth at the bottom of the
shot line before you move away".... You know the sort of thing.

I'll send a full list to each person that responds in return.

Also appreciate any details of lessons you've learned or moreovers learned the
hard way, eg, not wearing a knife, being complacent with depth, current, air
management etc.

We've all got little stories to tell, haven't we......
