Default Dive Rite

I am looking for feedback from users of Dive Rite BCDs.

Recently I tried one on in a store and it was the most comfortable BCD I
ever worn.

Thanks,
Teepee

Well, it sounds like the perfect BC for you for store diving. For diving in
water, however, you might want to consider a somewhat different evaluation
criteria.

Which product, btw?

I dive the Transpac II with recwings, and it's a nice combination. The
standrad BCD however I don't have any clue on as I haven't tried it.

The TPII has some minor issues, don't all solutions? The clips on it
are maybe a little in the smallest size. You need to traing to open
the, quicky in an emergency. You can get a realy bad crouch line, with
a small clip that doesn't work well in a rescue situation.

Yes it was the TPII I tried on.

As you say, any solution is rarely perfect. Thanks for your feedback.

D - www.scubaboard.com. It's got people who are much better suited to your

I'd say the issues are more than minor.

In a true emergency, I am not going to fiddle with clips. I am going to
cut the person out of the BC. If you have the right kind of BC, then
that shouldn't be a huge issue to you, since you'll be able to repair
it with a single inexpensive piece of nylon webbing.

Yes, I know of the DIR/Tech advocates line of argument. I however fail
to see them apply for my kind of diving and especially on the harness.
Other details however I do see and understand and have adjusted my
diving towards.

I have never tried to cut anyone out of a harness, but I'm sure that
it will work just fine, hoever the time differens for this and
removing a bcd or other equipment using quick releases are minor. When
cutting someone free you have to add the time to get the cutting time,
this usally takes as long as opening a quick realease. The difference
is that cutting needs two actions, getting the knife, and cut compared
too open relase.
