Anybody out there who has seen as well the latest offer at
www.scubastore.com of the DACOR HUB - nice price?! I would like to buy one of
these, however I am not sure if the regulators are good enough for

I don't believe it. Stevie baby, I agree with all your points. You are
100% correct.

Stay a way, it is just a toy.
I have dove with someone who needed help.
It just got in the way.

Of all the options out there, this has to be the worst and is high
priced.
It is not suitable for cold diving, too many zippers to start.
Try finding your octo behind a zipper in thick gloves.
Oral inflate behind a zipper.
Plus you need air to activate the dump.

Or you could look at it this way.
You'll be unique, no one else will be diving one.
For good reason, they have been around a while now (4 yrs?)
A decent shop wouldn't stock one, if they do find another shop.
If they try to sell it to you run! Don't walk.

As for Dacor, there is too many other chioces out there that are not
disappearing.

unless... your trolling ;)

The HUB is rather finicky. The dive shop I saw it in seemed desparate to get
rid of it, with extremely tempting finance offers. but so many zips,
bucjles, ties and other gadgets.

Go for a more basic usefull and failsafe piece of kit.

As for Dacor, I here they're a good reg but they don't seem to be as easy to
get parts or service kits for now.

A few dive shops using Dacor regs here are switching to Sherwoods now since
Dacor got abosorbed by Mares.

Dacor HUB ?? don't touch it, they are the most awkward and useless thing
on the planet

Do your self a favour and buy a good quality rear inflation BC, Zeagle
ranger or Aqualung Black diamond
either one is a good chioce..

Hi folk!

Reading through all this comments I am quite surprised - I dive with a
DACOR HUB since 2 years and it's GREAT - I never had any problems not
in the cold lakes of Switzerland nor in the warm Red Sea - I can only
recommend to dive with a HUB and do not understand why you guys are so
negativ ?!
I checked out the price at this online store and can only say: to such
a low price you will nowwhere find a full set of BCD including
regulators etc., well Nuria it's up to you however I have fun with my
HUB!

Cheers,
Sandro

How long have you been diving and what types of diving? Then we can gauge
your experience better.

Also what other equipment have you dove with?

try the OCEANIC CHUTE III
Then add either OCEANIC DELTA III & DX5 with any computer to make for an
excellent combo in cold water.
