| My regulator has a din valve with 8 threads and I just got a tank that has a din valve on it with 5 threads. Can I use these together? The regulator doesn't screw in all the way. In other words some threads are still visible when its in. Thanks, Joe Joe Santini Dive Dive Dive |

| No problem. Your reg will fit on a 300 bar tank, but will work fine on a 200 tank. Threads are made this way so you can't use a 200 reg on a 300 bar tank, that's all. The 5-thread DIN is a 200bar DIN, and the 7-thread is 300bar. You can't run a 200bar regulator on a 300bar tank valve. --- Rich http://richlockyer.tripod.com/ |

| Yup, sure can, the 8 thread is so the reg can be used on 300 bar, but the valve on the tank is around the 232 bar rating, hence 5 threads.
