My photo software (thumbs +) offers and auto correct feature that makes a
reasonable attempt to put the reds back in . If it doesn't have an
autocorrect you can always adjust Hue to put more red in.

Chris, play around with the RGB masks in Photoshop. You ought to find a level
that you're comfortable with.
