Default Scubapro twin jet split fins

Good afternoon all,

I was looking at my LDS for a pair of open heal Scubapro twin jet fins. The
price he had was $$189.00. I have seen them online for that price, and for
a lot less. I as just wondering if that was a good price or if I should buy
them online for less??

Thanks,
Doug

Buy something else. Split fins are for strokes.

You shouldn't buy them at all.

They are, IMNSHO, the shittiest fin on the market. When I tried them
they actually made me puke! That's not a lie. It's true. I never get
seasick. Seas were less than 2' anyway. 65 minutes at 70 feet with those
sadsacks, and I puked. Several times. No other fin has ever done that.
I changed back to my regular fins and was immediately well.

If you buy them, you too, will PUKE. You would be better off cutting
your feet off. It is a fact. These fins make nice people everywhere
puke and puke and puke. Marriages have ended, and children estranged
all because of uncontrollable puking. Nobody thought about their fins
being the cause. But there it is.

If you can get them cheap, buy two pair:
one to shit on, and one to wipe with.

I wouldn't pay $1.89 for ten pair (think of the sewage), let alone
100 or 1000 times that amount. You might think I'm kidding son,
but these fins suck farts from dead seagulls...they blow dead bears,
they make babies cry and flowers die. They're crap. Buy them and you'll
regret it for the rest of your miserable, retching life.

One dive, and you'll remember my warnings. You'll remember how you
thought I was exaggerating, all the while, heaving and puking as you
search in vain for a gun to take your life with. *That* is how stupid
you will LOOK AND FEEL if you actually buy these Creme-de-la-Diarrhea
dive destroyers. Your last thought as the hammer falls on the hollowpoint
will be "why didn't I listen to bullshark?"

189.00 is ridiculous. Anyone stupid enough to pay that money deserves
to die puking.

safe diving,

bullshark

Here's a man who could have been $2,000.0 richer if his claim about me was
true.
But he didn't take the offer.

I'd like to echo the previous puking paragraphs and I only traded with
some bloke on the boat for one dive. I couldn't get those crappy
flippers off my feet fast enough and back into my Quattros. Poor
bastard didn't want 'em back and I can't say I blame him.

(1) I would recommend against ANY split fins. They are a fad;
most serious divers find they do not perform as advertised.

(2) If you are determined to have split fins, I recommend against Scubapro.
Scubapro has a price control policy that keeps their prices artificially
high. This policy may be illegal in the USA (although the cost of
taking Scubapro to coutr on this issue may be porhibative).

(3) If you are determined to have Scubapro split fins, I recommend you find
an on-line, gray market source that sells them for a lower price.
Do not reward Scubapro dealers for their complacency with Scubapro
price policy. Also, there is virtually no service issue for fins,
so there is little reason to pay the local shop's high price.

FWIW --

It is my personal opinion that fairly large, relatively stiff fins
such as the Mares Plana Avanti Quattro and U.S. Divers Blades
models are the most efficient fins. I believe that the reason for
claiming that smaller, more flexible fins are more efficient is
that the fins require less effort for a given kick rate. However,
they require a greater kick rate to product the same results.

Efficiency and reduced effort is achieved when using large stiff
fins simply by kicking more slowly. Even divers who are not well
muscled or not in the best shape can benefit from this
efficiency. Just s_l_o_w down your kick rate.

Jammer,

Do you understand that you look like a complete moron to everyone
reading these posts? Do you think it's funny to give people incorrect
information? Think about what you're doing, you're turning a useful,
free resource of information into your own little "I'm a jack-ass"
demonstration. If you feel the need to be an asshole all the time,
why don't you go to a bar? Who knows, maybe you'll find another moron
to grow old with. Or maybe you're just afraid to go where you can't
run your dumb mouth without ending up with a fist in it. People like
you ruin the world, because their too stupid, afraid, and just
downright unable to do anything important.

Now go ahead and toss your little insults at me. We know it's the
only thing that makes you feel there is purpose in your pathetic life.
