Default Re: apollo Bio-Filter

I bought one of these a while back - must be at least a year. I've used
it with air and nitrox - with nitrox, Apollo says to remove the charcoal
filter. If you really suffer from drymouth, I guess it would work. For
years, I used the Oceanic Oasis regs in my dive charter biz. Never had a
complaint on dryness.
The Bio-filter is a gorgeous piece of engineering, but I have not used
mine for quite some time. With nitrox, it's pretty much unnecessary. If
I used regular air all the time, I'd still have it hooked up.

Default apollo Bio-Filter

anyone use one of these? My dive shop recommended this for my wife, the dry
air, especially nitrox, makes her throat raw and sore, do these things
really work? Looks big and clumsy to me.
