If you're in a region where students are taught to dive dry from the
start, great. Rent some for a while. It's too expensive an item to
buy when you don't yet have a clue. I bought two bad BCs (and kept
coming close to making a third bad choice with a Zeagle) before I
got to the one I like - which is yes, a steel backplate with a weighted
STA. I regretted none of my wetsuit/drysuit purchases done over time.

Anyone want a well used Zeagle? I finally switched to the BP/Wing too. I was
a clueless newbie when I bought the Zeagle. The only change I am considering
is switching from an aluminum plate to the steel plate.

This is where to get the bits and pieces.
