I'm slightly nearsighted... -.5 and -.75. Not bad... my night vision suffers a little and I only use glasses for driving at night when I'm tired. I'm not nearsighted enough to use these things. It's fuzz-city. Can't see how many fingers I'm holding up. To counter it, they sell you boxes of disposable contacts that are, IIRC, something like a -4 'scrip. The FOV of the thing IS all it's cracked up to be, but it is not a low volume mask, and you have to be willing to put up with: 1 - Wearing contacts... and able to put them in on a rolling dive boat in a salt-air environment. 2 - Being EXTREMELY far-sighted on the boat between dives, unless you want to do the contact drill between dives, in which case, you'll want a case for your contacts. --- Rich http://richlockyer.tripod.com/ |
