Thanks for the reply, Cdavis. I went with the split fins. Get to try
them out later this month. Thanks for the direction, I'm new to this
whole forum thing and where to post my questions. appeciate your

From what little I've heard about split fins, they should be a good
choice for a weak knee.

Glad your info matches what I've heard. I'm a concrete contractor
living in Oregon and I want to put off surgery until the wet months of
November or December when I slow down. I've been too busy to think
about doing that now. I'll let you know how it went when I return in
early September. That's the start of the hurricane season in the Virgin
Islands, but I'm hoping we get in and out before the really foul weather
arrives. I'm looking forward to swimming with the fish again. I really
appreciate this forum and the helpful members' input. C.
