Surf to www.suunto.com, and look up their contact info. I am sure
they will be more than willing to solve this.

Thanks for the suggestion, Turns out the display showed the standard
stinger model. but it was labeled the titanium model. after some
discussion with the clerk, manager and the owner. It was decided that
they would sell me a titanium model for the displayed price. What I
was expecting was a titanium stinger with a polymer strap at best, but
what I got was a titanium stinger aqualung package, it came in a small
briefcase with the titanium wrist strap, the computer interface and
polymer strap.

I have been shopping around for a Suunto Stinger, and so far I have
seen three models of the Stinger: Standard, Metalic, Titanium.

Each of the models appears to be different only in appearances. A
local dive shop in my area advertises the suunto stinger titanium
model for sale but the display model looks like the standard model. I
ordered one from them and made sure they were getting me the titanium
model. I also asked if the display model was the titanium model and
the clerk said yes. at that point I pointed out that the titanium
model had a small titanium logo on the watch face, and the clerk said
that was probably the new titanium model.

does anyone have information on older titanium models?
