The stuff is essentially a thin fleece covered by a stretchy, thin
nylon. I believe that it's as warm as 2.5mm neoprene in splash and above
the water, but it won't be underwater.

Default Fourth Element Thermocline "Wetsuit" ??

Hi,

Just been to the new local dive shop to have a look, (BCD & Wetsuits
mainly), and the guy there suggested considering the 4th Element
Thermocline vest and shorts - He said he would be wearing them as a
shortie wetsuit equivalent in the Southern Red Sea in November - on
their own, and not under a wetsuit. The label says they are as good as a
2.5mm neoprene wetsuit.

Has anybody used them?

Can they do what they say on the tin? <g>
