Hi Mark.

I've used my Swatch on 6 dives so far and it has been very reliable.

The watches usually play the dive back to you if you push the button once or
store the dive to memory if you push it twice.

I suggest returning yuour watch to the agents!

Regards!

Ian

Ian thanks for your reply to my son's post.

We took the two scuba watches back and they agreed to replace them for
us.
We got two new ones and one of them had the same problem. It started
acting
up after the first dive. The other one seems to be behaving.

I contacted the dealer here in Doha and they promised to get a new
watch
to replace the defective one. This was 5 weeks ago. Despite numerous
phone calls from me I am still waiting.

I have not been able to contact Swatch since their website does not
list
any contact for customer complaints or support. This is a real problem
since
I am left at the mercy of the local dealer who has not been very
helpful in
this case.

It seems that all these watches (or at least a batch of them) have a
tendency to act up after a dive.

I realy cannot recommend these watches to anyone.

Every watch I've ever owned came with some paperwork that included the name
and location of the company that made it, authorized service centers and
instructions for what to do for warranty work. How about trying what you
would have done before there was an internet to make your life simple, read
the manual and write or call the manufacturer.

Some underwater devices use the connection created by salt water as an
indication that they are underwater. Sometimes those that do have been
known to continue in dive mode well beyond the dive itself. Often, a quick
rinse in fresh water will take care of the problem. It isn't wonderful, but
it may work.

I tried all the tricks. I always rinse my equipment in fresh water. I
keep my computer and watches in fresh water for at least a couple of
houres after the dive.
The problem is most certainly more complicated than that. The watch
gets into a funny mode where it starts registering depths of 2 to 4
meters at the surface. Sometimes just getting it wet puts it into that
mode. When in that mode the only way to get it out of it is my pulling
the crown.

Default Swatch Fun Scuba

Hi everybody
My father and I recently purchased Swatch Fun Scuba watches. We
tried them on a couple of dives, and seemed to work fine at depth,
taking accurate readings for depth and bottom time. However, once we
surfaced the watch seemed to be stuck in dive mode. Pushing the crown
had no effect, and only after 90 minutes (the max amount of bottom
time the watch can measure) did it snap back into normal time mode.
Has anybody had this problem? Any experiences with Swatch customer
service or this particular watch? Thanks...
