I like the Henderson gloves and GoldCore is the best thing that has happened
in wet suits since the days when there was no nylon on them at all.
It is worth the extra bucks.
IF
You must have a wet suit.

But I see you are just asking about gloves.

The commodity gloves probably will not fit as well and probably don't have
the quality of the material that Henderson uses. (I got a LONG lecture on
this one day from a dry suit dealer who had no connections to Henderson or
any other major dealer.)

But if you are always reaching and grabbing, chances are the Hendersons will
get beat up as fast as the others.

No, it's for my (Henderson) drysuit, which I'm very satisfied with - even it
is the "old" Arctic.

I got one of those Henderson Gold for cold water diving. I would not
recomend them. They are very hard to put because they are all stretchy
rubbery material. Mine broke after a few years of light use. It was
very difficult to put them on fully without fighting and stretching.

Try to buy gloves that have kevlar. They are a lot easier to put on.

I recently bought new golves and dived with the Seasoft 5mm with
kevlar. What a difference.

Good Luck.

Henrik,

I have used several pairs of Henderson gloves over the past few years,
and the ones I like best are the Duratex Gripper gloves. I would not
recommend the Hyperstrech gloves, since this material compresses a lot
more with depth than standard neoprene causing it to lose much of its
insulating value. I also would not recommend Gold Core gloves (more
difficult to put on and take off, not noticeably warmer, considerably
more expensive). However for really cold water, you may want to
consider the 3-finger mitts, which I think Henderson only supplies in
the Gold Core range.

just my opinions.

I've got a pair of the Henderson 3mm Hyperstretch gloves.

They work great and are easy to take on/off and you don't have
to use those pesky velcro 'straps' to hold them on your wrists.
One other nice feature they have is the non-slip grip on
the inside of the hands. I use them also for deep sea
fishing in the winter time as they are snug enough that
you can put bait on your hooks with them on.

I picked them up for about $30 bucks

Default Henderson gloves

Hi,

Has anyone in here experience with the Henderson gloves, i.e. Hyperstretch,
Gold Core etc??

Is Gold Core worth spending the extra bucks? Or are the commodity glove just
as durable??

Thanks,

Henrik
