Here's a few clues for you since you seem to have none of your own: 1. There aren't a lot of choices if you only need one chart or so. Waterproof Charts are the standard for most boaters. 2. For anybody that's intent on spamming, the "unsubscribe" button is not for unsubscribing. It's a confirmation that the spammed e-mail address is real and active. Don't ever click on that buttom for things you don't want more of. 3. On most browsers, there's some way to block senders. Find it and use it. It won't get all spammers, but it will get those that haven't learned to change the from address frequently. 4. Since the original spam didn't come here, your "Don't Buy" message is as offensive to us as their "Buy Me" message was to you. Keep it up and it will be you, rather than them, that resides in the blocked sender's list. Lee |

| Better yet, organize a bunch of folks to call the -800- number over and over and over again to voice dissatisfaction. Will at least give you and others some satisfaction that you are COSTING the spammer MONEY and are tying up their -800- number so they are missing sales cales John On Sat, 12 Feb 2005 06:29:54 GMT, "Mike Painter" <mddotpainter@sbcglobal.net> wrote: >Spammed by Waterproof Charts wrote: >> I made the mistake. | Hi! John wrote: > Better yet, organize a bunch of folks to call the -800- number over > and over and over again to voice dissatisfaction. But please do it from a payphone. It will cost them about a quarter a call in addition to the regular charge. I think you will have a lot of disconnects and have to call them again ( for more of their money). brgds to y'all -- Gunter Herrmann Naples, Florida, USA |

| I made the mistake. Once. I'll save you the grief. I've hit the UNSCRIBE FROM THIS UNSOLICITED SPAM link every freakin' time they've sent more spam, yet it keeps on coming. I've tried e-mails all over, and they continue to send spam. Their junk mail (and the unscubscribe URL) is coming from a third- party bulk e-mailer called 'constantcontact.com' (there's a hint). I'm guessing the UNSUBSCRIBE is used to verify that their crap is still getting to an annoyed customer. Well, I'm sure pissed. Unscrupulous business practices (I *did NOT* check the SEND PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENTS box) ought to be shouted loud and hard on the net. Pass it around. Don't buy from these slimy bastards. I sure hope this warning costs them more than any pittance they may have made from any future business from me. Needless to say, I'll never make the mistake again. Their domain is blocked in my firewall now, so I couldn't even hit it accidentally. Divers and mariners might be interested in 'waterproof charts', so be warned before you initiate any contact with these pricks. If you *really* gotta have one of their charts, buy it over the phone and do NOT give an e-mail address. Better yet, don't give these assholes any money at all. To hell with 'em. I don't want to put their URL here, as it might actually increase the traffic. It's www.(their name minus the space).com in Punta Gorda, Florida. Be warned. <exit soapbox mode> |
