| "Douglas W. \"Popeye\" Frederick" <Buzcutt454@aol.com> pounded away at his keyboard resulting in: : "Good Morning Doug, :Right now we have about 20 set of Rental Equipment (BC's & Regs). : :We can take 40 divers out right now with the numbers increasing in the near :future. : :Dee, Sunset House" That number seems kinda low. I'm sure they had more capacity than that. In fact, a quick look at their website shows 5 boats. Manta - capacity not specified. Sea Ray - 17 divers Leapord Ray and Eagle Ray - 20 divers each Sting Ray - 12 divers. That makes 69 plus whatever the Manta can carry. Having been on that boat, I'll guess 14, So I guess they can't service 100 divers at once. I'm not counting shore divers by the way. In other words, how many divers can you provide boats, gear and tanks for in a single day? And how many sets of rental dive gear do you have? Complete sets? Thank you. The other half will party as well, glad to be rid of me, and I'll see them in hell. |

They are still currently recovering from the hurricane and are in limited operation: http://sunsethouse.com/newsletter/ I am going to GC on 4/20 and staying and diving with Ocean Frontiers, but I contacted Sunset for a day and night of shore diving, since I had stayed there several times in the past. They replied that it is possible, but the support services (like lockers, Nitrox and stuff) are haphazard. -- But then again, what do I know?
