No; a rigger.
I used to do a lot of circus/rodeo rigging- then for various kinds of
specialty people. I ended up doing gun rigs and weapons carry systems.

Cool, need to get those to go with my junky Mossberg shotgun. ;)
(I'da got rid of that piece of crap a long time ago if I could've
found a shotgun that fit me that good, and could afford both)

Did ya hear about Remington's use of 1140-modified steel for their
shotgun barrels because that steel machines and finishes much easier
than the the standard steel 4130? Learned about it in metallurgy
class... big ass law suit... Remington claimed that the only guys
blowing up their Remington shotgun were reloaders but my teacher
showed that wasn't the case and Remington's own metallurgist had
written a book explaining that 1140-M was not suitable for gun
barrels (even black powder) but they started with him and couldn't
switch metallurgists mid-stream.

Remington buyers were getting hurt by this and they kept using
1140-M anyway for decades!

I'm a libertarian and hate this shit, but also believe in self
resposibility as being the core of libertarianism, Remington
skirted it as best they could and hurt some of their loyal users,
basically, on purpose.

Don't believe what you read on use-net look into it yourself and
then decide if any corporation (ran by people;) is worth any sort
of loyalty. Nader has it right, just too bad he stops bad-mouthing
corporations just shy of explaining they are -gov't protected-
institutions, huh? ;)

I like my 700-VS in 22-250 as much as anybody and old Remingtom
pocket knives are the best dangged slip-joints I've ever seen but
still. :/

Besides for me the pistol grip is too small on both the Remingtons
and the Winchester shotguns, which kind of sucks, since I like the
mechanisms themselves alot better than any junky old Mossberg. :)

That's why so many of them saw boat duty.

Never seen it.

I've had a dozen Remingtons, still have three, and I usually load shells
till the powder runs out.

The few things that were ever broken, they fixed in good haste.

Pistol grips and folding stocks are a sure sign that people can't hit
anything- stay away from them.

Me neither.

You ever make "high brass" loads?

My favorite shotgun shells I ever made were 3+1/2de-1+1/8oz-#4 shot
for running jackrabbits and flying quail.

(30-30 for when they were settin still;)

Only a certain percentage of 1140-M barrels are going to pop,
that's what they've been counting on... but what about the next
50 years? :/

You heard about it here first. ;)

Sorry should've left the "pistol" part out there I guess. :/

The "grip area" is too small and cramped and don't like it and the
guns just don't fit me right anyway. Same with Ithica that way. :/

Hey, I had a couple.

Go fire about 100 heavy loads with one, and the truth shall set you free.
