The quick coupler has a valve in it that is the same as a tire valve.
first try using a tire valve tool to tighten it a bit, and replace it if
that doesn't work.

Thanks for your response but the inflator hose coupling does not fit
the traditional BC, instead Oceanic (maybe other Inflator/Regs too)
uses a larger bore and a spring loaded stopper (for lack of a better
word).

Any other comments are welcomed (til I figure this out).

Take your reg and Air 2 over to any shop that services Oceanic, it's
unlikely but maybe the regs IP is set to high. They will fix or replace as
needed.

Often you will find if your inflator hose is already connected
to your inflator the o-ring will not seal correctly when you
apply air. Leave the inflator hose disconnected, turn on the air,
the attach your inflator hose to your AIR-XS. Many of my inflator
hoses have this problem. The air needs to blow the o-ring down
against the beveled edge to seal correctly and it won't do that
unless there is air available during the connection process.

Thanks for your reply. I've tried both ways 1. already attached hose
to the inflator coupling
and 2. push on the quick disconnect hose to the inflator coupling. The
results are the same with some minor hissing of air leaking.

>From the comments so far, I think:

1. I'm missing a 2nd o-ring inside the quick disconnect inflator hose
head as it meets the inflator coupling (meatal to metal - no rubber at
all).
2. Or my regulator needs an adjustment to tune down the pressure to the
2nd stage.

I'm still waiting for Oceanic Tech support to respond to my question (5
days and counting).
