You are obviously the happy purchaser of an aluminium tank which
cracked and on which the warranty was not honoured.
I have had four cracked and condemned alis my two steelys I purchased
in 1964 are still going.

The oldest steel-72 I have is probably 1970... I had thought that I
had one from 1969, but upon reviewing my tanks awhile back, I didn't
see one with that date on it... The old steel-72 tanks are great...
Especially in a sidemount rig...

Don't hesitate to cross post this over to Rec.scuba.
