I think it's probably not the best idea. However, if you are set on it then you need to go to Protech. Last I knew, they were the only place that had any kit of significance for sale. Also, I think they are in the process of moving their op to other quarters, so, well, I guess the answer is I dunno what they are carrying for stock. If they have some, maybe they are dealable. Best of luck. (snip) |

Also, I'm willing to bet that, due to transportation costs, the gear will be more expensive. And, if you're buying there, they know they have a captive market. -- dillon If you can't figure out how to unmunge my address, email me and I'll explain it. |

| Hi all, As some of you (might) know, I am on the way to AMbergris Caye. A thought crossed my mind today about buying equipment there. I don't know if its possible, but what do you guys think about buying equipment in a dive shop there? I know, more or less the prices of kit back home, and the brands and models available, so I can take them to local repair places(I know I should support my local shop, but if there is a great bargain..!). Are the shops there "amenable to some bargaining? Any advice/points would be appreciated! thanks bernard |
