You would probably be better off with this one.

I have had it past 30M. It is much better for logging your dives. It also
has an ascent alarm which if you are waiting to buy a dive computer would be
a good thing.

For that amount of money you can buy a decent nitrox-capable dive computer.

I would just get a $40 G-Shock from leisurepro as a stop gap
measure until I bought a dive computer. Even after getting
the computer the cheap watch could be keep around as a backup
for use with tables. I almost did this until I found a computer
and deal from scubatoys that I liked.

Just and idea.

Default Citizen Men's Eco-Drive 180 WR100 Chronograph Watch-good dive watch?

hi all,

Until I purchase a dive computer (hopefully 6 months or so), I am looking at
buying a dive watch (time, and chronograph functions) as my current watch would
break if it looked like even raining.

I have seen this:
http://tinyurl.com/nuxrb

Citizen Men's Eco-Drive 180 WR100 Chronograph Watch AT0270-00E

Watch Information
Model number: AT0270-00E
Crystal material: mineral
Clasp: buckle
Case material: stainless-steel
Case diameter: 42.00 millimeters
Case Thickness: 10.00 millimeters
Band material: stainless-steel
Band length: mens-standard
Dial color: black;
Bezel material: stainless-steel
Movement: analog-quartz
Calendar: date
Water resistant depth: 100.00 meters

".... Other features include a black rubber strap, scratch-resistant mineral
crystal and water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--suitable for water-related
activities and sports such as swimming and snorkeling."

I understand it is *not* a computer, and will not calc. bottom time, etc. But I am
happy with that for the moment.

Am I at risk of killing it if I try to bring it to 30M?

thanks for any help,

bernard
