I have the Air XS II hose and haven't had any problems at all. What was the
original problem and how did replacing the QD hose fix it?

Default Oceanic Air XS problem

I had posted a question on what to do about my Oceanic Air XS BC
regulator and since the question has now expired and won't let me post
my final resolution; I will do so by starting a new topic.

First of all, the help I asked for via the Oceanic support website - I
never got a response from Oceanic Tech support. They used to be very
responsive but I guess their operations has changed.
I went back to where I had purchased the Oceanic Air XS and even though
I bought it a year earlier they honored the warranty and gave me a
replacement Quick Disconnect hose which fixed it (period). Initially
they sent a replacement hose that was not from Oceanic and it help slow
the air leak down but if you touch the BC inflator hose for any reason
the QD coupling connection would start to leak continuously still.

I do not think any future Oceanic Air XS users will see this problem
since new models are out. My problem occurred before the unit went into
the ocean so this was an out of box failure of the QD hose
(manufacturing defect). Hindsite: I should have taken up on the offer
for the dive shop to install the Oceanic Air XS on my BC and test it
for me (for free). I'm amazed that my dive shop was willing to do all
of this remotely since I moved out of state away from them.

Thanks to all who responded to my plea for help during June 2006.
