Hmm...so there's little strain on your shoulders and forearms?

Trim, with weights?

It depends on the scooter, but yes. The scooter should be about neutral.
I'm not sure how the Torpedo is trimmed, but on a Gavin we arrange the
batteries and a little weight so the scooter is about neutral and
rotates so the right side handle (where the trigger is)is on top when
you are on the trigger. When it is right, you can ride it all day and
steer it with a finger. There is absolutely no pull or strain on your
shoulders or arms.

This video shows about how it should look. I like the tow harness just a
little shorter. The scooter tows you by a D ring on your crotch strap.

Others mentioned it already... prop wash. You will eventually drive
your Torpedo in the same way, slightly below you. If you want to look
down, you stop, look down, then continue on your merry way :)

As far as I understand, that's how the Torpedo switch works. Quoting
the manufacturer website:

"Switch

A magnetically activated reed switch, is designed for both safety and
dependability. A magnet, convienently inserted in a velco palm strap,
activates the switch."

All scooters are designed in such a way that when you let the
scooter/handle go, the scooter switches off. If for some reason it
doesn't, then depending in the situation, you either jam it into the
bottom, and wait till the batteries run out, go around in circles until
the batteries run out, let/cut the scooter lose, and wave bye bye :)

On a Gavin, Mako, SS or similar scooter, you can break the blades with
your hand if you have to if the clutch is adjusted correctly.
