On a Gavin, Mako, SS or similar scooter, you can break the blades with
your hand if you have to if the clutch is adjusted correctly.

This is what I received as correspondence with the factory:

"By the way, the Torpedo switch is magnetically activated -- no trottle.
The switch handle is clearly marked and you simply apply the magnet ( which
is in a convenient palm strap) against the switch area and off you go."

I thought there was a 'high' and 'low' speed, the formor would give 45
minutes of speed the later would give 1.5 hours of speed, no?

As said before, haven't driven a Torpedo myself, but the spec on
their website would indicate 45min drive time:

And no "hi/lo" settings.

As said before, haven't driven a Torpedo myself, but the spec on
their website would indicate 45min drive time:
