| ok just wondering I have not used my equipment in a year how important is it to get it rebuilt every year... I am planning on using it in a pool before I take a couple of deep dives. or should I have them serviced. they are both less than 2 years old and have been taken care of very well (of course) |

That's kind of the point. Annual service can also be important for maintaining your warranty. In my personal opinion, having regulators serviced regularly is more important for those that are not used frequently than for those that are. Using a regulator frequently, tends to keep everything moving properly and gives the owner a chance to notice problems as they develop. I don't know what you mean by "deep" dives, so it's hard to comment on that aspect of your question except to say that, if the dives are deep to you, don't you want to be extra sure that your regulators are up to the task? I'll let someone else debate whether a regulator that has not been serviced in 2 years can be called "taken care of very well." My advice, get the regulators serviced and still do your pool dives before using them deep. Lee |
