Mares V16 vs V32 1st and Proton vs Voltrex 2nd

I am doing some reg rehauling and wondering if anyone out there has
done some comparisons between the v16 and v32 1st stages. We are
currently sucking on MR22s and are parting with them. I know the MR22
and V32 are basically the same with the exception of the seat so I am
not too worried about that. More interested in the v16 and v32
performance. Some comments have been that the V16 is a bit bulky but
stills performs quite well.

At the same time I am wondering the second stages. The new proton is
obviously smaller than the previous Abyss/Votrex. But I have heard a
few comments that the proton does not breath quite as smooth.

Any pointers or first hand experience would be appreciated.
