I dived there a very long time ago (1990) so any information will be very dated. If I remember you had to dive with a guide and only in officially sanctioned sites. The diving was ok but it was catering for the lowest qualification. The diving is similar to Cypress if you have ever been there. At the time we dived there the price was comparable to elsewhere in the Med so price should not be too big a factor. taz. |

| I dived there back in 1999, so may be a little outdated. At that time there were three dive operations, all based in Rhodes Harbour. Each dive boat carried 60+ 'divers', and the only dive site is Kalathea Bay - about the size of Kimmeridge. They need air traffic control or rather dive traffic control! I used two of the operations on different days, and found 'Dive Med' to be the better (an't rmember the first one, mediocrity strikes! In fairness, there was talk at the time of openiong up further sites round the coast, so maybe the situation has changed. Other than that, I loved the Island, and found it a great family holiday spot. Beaches are superb, food and wine (then) was very reasonable.
