Like to know all about this place from people who have been there. Is
there maybe a better alternative?
And even maybe more important: "Which dive-operation should we take?"

Take a look at http://www.travelforum.org/bali/main.html and do a search for
Pondok Sari. We planned a trip to Bali last year primarily with info from this
board and found it to be a great source.

Pemuteran is in a pretty remote part of Bali but the Pondok Sari is a good
value.
