| Been to Cozumel, Cayman, Belize, BVI and now I am interested in checking out Roatan. Can someone recommend a place to stay and dive operator? We're looking for great beach diving along with a place to stroll at night. Thanks! |

| Hi, I just returned from a week in Roatan. Stayed at Coco View Resort. Dive, Eat, Nap, Dive, Eat, Nap, Dive ... Had a great time and I'd stay with them again. We did rent a car one day and tour the island. Make sure you try the Canopy Tour! Check out their web site for more information. http://www.cocoviewresort.com Also, I've put some pics online at http://www.urbanphoenix.com/eric/ In article <tq%uc.1726$MR1.865@newssvr23.news.prodigy.com>, "mzeitlin" <mzeitlin@sbcglobal.net> wrote: > Been to Cozumel, Cayman, Belize, BVI and now I am interested in checking out > Roatan. > > Can someone recommend a place to stay and dive operator? | For shore diving there are only two options on Roatan - West Bay Beach and Cocoview. For a place to stroll at night that really narrows it down to West End. That said, I really think Cocoview is your better bet. Th shore diving isn't that special at West Bay and requires lugging gar about a quarter mile down the beach. Stay at CCV, ithr rent a car or arrange for a daylong cab (personally I'd go that route, it isn't much more money) on your down day to see the sights. I'd suggest visiting Marble Hill Farms for homemade jams, Archs Iguana Farm for photos, the Canopy Tour for an adventure, drive to Oak Ridge for the views and a beer at BJ's. Enjoy.
